H&M announces new collaboration with Stella McCartney
H&M has announced a second collaboration with fashion designer Stella McCartney.
The news comes almost 20 years to the day that the debut partnership was unveiled in November 2005.
Due to launch in the spring of 2026, the new collection will be made using certified, responsible materials, many of which are recycled, as the brand looks to showcase viable alternatives for conventional fabrics and textiles.
A central element of the collaboration will be the creation of a new insights board, tasked with identifying fresh opportunities for brands, and the wider industry, to influence and drive change regarding sustainability. The board will also focus on elevating awareness of animal welfare and advancing innovation led solutions.

“This second partnership feels like a chance to look at how far we’ve come on sustainability, cruelty-free practices and conscious designs – and to stay honest about how far we still have to go – together.
“I am thrilled to have H&M join me on this road, real change only happens when we push from both the outside and the inside, and I’ve always believed in infiltrating from within to move the industry forward.”
Ann-Sofie Johansson, H&M’s creative advisor, said: “Stella is a true ground breaker. From the start, she disrupted fashion with designs that put forward a rule-breaking femininity.
“This collection is full of must-have pieces that nod to that legacy. Stella’s moral compass and tireless commitment to sustainable practices have long inspired all of us at H&M, so it’s an honour to partner with her on such an ambitious project.”
2025 marks 20 years since H&M launched its first designer collaboration with Karl Lagerfeld. Since then, the brand has partnered with some of the world’s most influential designers including Versace, Balmain, Simone Rocha and Mugler.
