Mango returns to Cork

Mango has returned to Cork as part of plans to strengthen its presence in Ireland.

The Spanish fashion retailer previously operated a store in the city from 2004 to 2008.

Mango has launched a new shop on St. Patrick’s Street in a building that previously housed the old Savoy cinema which opened in 1932.

With a sales area of 360 square metres, the store stocks Mango’s women’s lines and is the first in Ireland to incorporate the retailer’s Mediterranean-inspired New Med store design concept.

Daniel Lopez, Mango’s franchise and expansion director, said: “Our arrival for the first time with our own company store in Cork will consolidate our brand and help us strengthen it internationally.”

New technologies and services have also been introduced to improve the customer shopping experience. These include a click-and-collect zone and recycling boxes where customers can deposit used clothing and footwear to give their garments a second life.
