Mango accelerates expansion in Italy through strategic partnership with Coin

Mango is accelerating its expansion in Italy through a partnership with the Coin department store chain as it looks to strengthen its visibility and positioning in the Italian market.

The agreement will see the addition of 22 new Mango stores in selected Coin locations across the country between September 2026 and the end of 2027.

With selling space ranging fr0m 400 to 1.000 square metres, the new stores will become key anchors within Coin shops and will showcase Mango’s collections for women, men and kids.

Daniel López, chief expansion and franchise officer at Mango, said: “This agreement will allow the Italian consumers access to all Mango’s creativity and differential value proposition in excellently located Coin department stores.

“It represents a revolution in the department store vision and will as well represent a milestone for our expansion strategy in Italy, coinciding with our 25th anniversary in the country.”

The first eight openings are scheduled for 2026 and will include major cities such as Bari, Catania and Rome. In 2027, these will be followed by openings in northern cities such as Genova, Como and Trieste, as  well as Sicily and Sardinia.

Matteo Cosmi, chief executive of Coin, said: “We are delighted to collaborate with Mango, one of the leading international fashion brands, renowned for its strong identity, contemporary vision and continued growth.

“This agreement reinforces our commitment to providing customers with an increasingly relevant and distinctive offering alongside a partner that has successfully established a solid and distinctive position within the fashion industry.

“At the same time, it further cements Coin’s status as Italy’s most extensive and far-reaching brand platform, capable of offering brands the right setting to express their value, identity and quality”.

Last year Mango reported 30% turnover growth and opened more than 20 new points of sale in Italy. These included new locations in Rome and Milan (Porta Nuova), as well as three standalone Mango Man stores in Bologna, Milan and Rome.
