Mango invests in party clothing rental start-up La Más Mona

Spanish fashion retailer Mango has invested in La Más Mona, the Madrid based party dress and accessories rental platform.

The investment includes offering financial support to La Más Mona via a loan and the owners of the business joining the Mango StartUp Studio  acceleration programme which will help them to scale up their business. They will also receive advice and mentoring sessions in areas such as people management and the internationalisation of operations and technology.

Meanwhile Mango is working with La Más Mona on the launch of a pilot clothing rental service on its website via Mango Renting. The platform will offer around forty items that will be updated every month.

This is the third investment that Mango StartUp Studio has made since it launched in 2022. So far, the accelerator has invested in a sustainability start-up specialising in the resale of textile waste and an on-demand salary and flexible remuneration business.

La Más Mona was founded in 2012 with a B2C model of clothing rental for both formal and everyday wear and has now extended its model to include other companies wishing to launch their own rental services. The company currently has 315,000 registered customers and 35,000 rented garments.
