Mango expands US presence with first Illinois store
Mango is continuing to expand in US with the opening of a first store in Chicago.
The shop on North Michigan Avenue’s Ritz-Carlton Residences is also the Spanish fashion brand’s first location in the state of Illinois.
Offering approximately 11,000 square feet of selling space, the store has been designed in line with the brand’s Mediterranean-inspired concept New Med with warm tones and neutral colours, combined with traditional, handcrafted and natural materials.
Working with local construction teams, Mango has also incorporated design features with a distinct local twist to give the store its own personality. Its horizontal layout with concealed vertical joints echoes the masonry of Prairie-style houses while geometric wall textiles have been inspired by a drawing by Eugene Masselink, Frank Lloyd Wright’s apprentice

Daniel López, Mango’s chief expansion and franchise officer, said: “Expanding Mango’s footprint to a city like Chicago is an important achievement for the entire Mango team and reaffirms our deep commitment to our U.S. clients.
“Our location on Chicago’s prestigious Magnificent Mile is a testament to the warm reception of our unique value proposition in the U.S. and marks another strategic move in strengthening our footprint across the country.”
Mango began its expansion into the US in 2022 with the opening of its flagship store on New York’s Fifth Avenue. By the end of 2025, the company will have opened around 65 stores in the US.
