Charles & Keith dives into Metaverse and offers cryptocurrency as payment mode

Charles & Keith, the footwear, handbags and accessories retailer, has launched cryptocurrency as a payment method on its ecommerce site and will be taking part in the first-ever Metaverse Fashion Week that is being hosted on Decentraland this month.

Fashion fans attending the Metaverse Fashion Week festivities as avatars will be able to roam the digital grounds and discover Charles & Keith’s booth within a luxury marketplace.

Featuring the brand’s spring floral print, the booth will display products such as the candy-coloured Koa shoulder bag and tie-up Alex sandals. Visitors will be able to view the Singaporean brand’s spring 2022 campaign video, try on digital wearables, and click through to the Charles & Keith website to purchase physical products of what their avatars are wearing.

To kick off Metaverse Fashion Week, which runs from 24 to 27 March, Charles & Keith will welcome the first 1000 avatars to visit the booth with complimentary Koa bag and Alex sandals wearables. Back in the real world, twenty exclusive micro Koa bags will be up for grabs. Guests will be asked to take a screenshot of their avatar at the booth and post it on Instagram or Twitter to stand a chance to winning.

In addition, Charles & Keith has become the first Singaporean fashion brand to offer cryptocurrency as a transaction mode on its website. The new service is aimed at customers who own cryptocurrency and are seeking additional channels where they can purchase goods and services using their investments.
