Boden profits jump to £37.2m as US expansion pays off

British fashion retailer Boden has posted growth in both turnover and profit for 2025 following a strong performance in the US.

In the 12 months to 27 December, group turnover rose by 7% to £387.1 million, while pre-tax profit grew to £37.2 million, up from £34.6 million the previous year.

The company said the US continues to be its fastest growing market and now accounts for almost half of group revenue. There was also growth in the UK and through third-party partners, including Nordstrom in the US.

Within womenswear, dresses performed particularly well, while childrenswear achieved more modest growth in what Boden described as a highly competitive market.

During the period, Boden increased its number of active customers by 9% to 1.95 million, with more than 600,000 new customers making purchases during the year. It also opened its first US physical store in the Avalon shopping centre in Atlanta, Georgia.

Johnnie Boden, founder and creative director at Boden, said: “I’m thrilled we’ve achieved another great set of results. As ever, I’m so grateful to our talented team for all their hard work.

“There are always fresh challenges to face and conquer in retail, but we’re continuing to grow. I’m so excited to continue to build on this momentum.”

Giving an update on trading in the first half of its new financial year, Boden said sales grew by 2% in the six months to June, despite subdued consumer confidence, particularly in the UK. Sales in the US rose by 9% over the period.

In July 2026, Boden opened its second US store, in Nashville, Tennessee, and announced a third standalone location which will open this autumn in Birmingham, Alabama.

Ben Dreyer, Boden chief executive, said: “It’s been another good year for Boden as we deliver our growth plan and increase our presence in a number of important markets.

“Our performance in North America has been particularly encouraging and we’re delighted to have acquired a record number of new customers for a single year. We look forward to continuing to make further progress across the business in the UK and beyond.”
