ASOS hires ex-Amazon exec Lizzie Jones to head up global trading
ASOS has appointed former Amazon executive Lizzie Jones as its head of global trading.
Jones worked at Amazon for nearly 12 years, most recently as a GM/commercial manager, where she led a team of 66 across multiple markets to drive operational excellence. She also managed relationships with vendors, and spearheaded the launch of Amazon’s consulting business in the EU.
Subscribe to TRBPrior to that, she held various buying roles at Soletrader, Internacionale Retail and Tesco, having previously worked at Miss Selfridge, and at ASOS once before as a footwear buyer between 2004 and 2009.
In a post on LinkedIn, Jones said: “Excited to have completed my first week at ASOS as head of global trading. It’s fantastic to be back at a company that continues to redefine fashion for customers around the world.
“A lot has changed since my first stint here 20 years ago, but one thing hasn’t – the infectious energy, ambition and pace that make ASOS such a special place to work. A huge thank you to everyone for making me feel so welcome. I’m looking forward to what we can achieve together.”
The news follows the retailer’s appointment of Manoja Josyula earlier this month as director of propositions on a permanent basis, after she joined the company in March in an interim capacity.
