Asos customer and technology EVPs to step down

Asos has confirmed that Ben Blake, EVP customer and commercial, and Przemek Czarnecki, EVP technology, are to leave the business on 31 August.

The news forms part of changes to the online fashion retailer’s senior leadership team as it moves beyond work on legacy issues to a commercial model with a focus on growth.

Blake joined Asos in 2025 from World of Books Group, where he was chief commercial officer. He has also previously held senior roles at Expedia and OVO.

Meanwhile, Czarnecki has worked with Asos since February 2025 after spending six years as VP of software engineering at Zalando.

Asos said the pair had made valuable contributions as the business worked through a period of transformation.

Asos chief financial officer Aaron Izzard will also serve as customer and commercial lead on an interim basis until a successor for Blake is appointed. In addition,  Rasila Vaghjiani, EVP of people, communications and transformation, will handle Czarnecki’s EVP technology responsibilities.

The company said its strategic direction remains unchanged as it maintains its focus on faster execution, growth and customer delivery.

Last month, Asos announced that it had appointed former Amazon executive Lizzie Jones as its head of global trading, and Manoja Josyula as director of propositions on a permanent basis, after she joined the company in March in an interim capacity.
