Ribble Cycles launches new Nottingham showroom

Ribble Cycles has opened a new experiential showroom in Nottingham’s Victoria Centre.

The move follows the recent launch of the digital first retailer’s flagship showroom in Clitheroe in Lancashire.

David Stacey, commercial director at Ribble Cycles, said: “Our aim is to give customers the opportunity to experience our world-class bikes first-hand and to fully interact and engage with our brand. We highlighted Nottingham because of the interest and heritage in cycling, its vibrancy, as well as having a strong existing Ribble customer base within the region. When selecting locations we identify ‘destination’ opportunities with a variety of premium global brands and good consumer footfall.”

The Nottingham site aims to blend digital with physical to create a fully immersive customer experience. Products are displayed with space for the consumer to explore and interact in 360 degrees while digital displays share product information, specs, videos and reviews.

The showroom also features a large format video wall displaying content ranging from mechanical bike builds to off-road adventures. Meanwhile, bike builder and custom colour displays enable shoppers to fully personalise and customise their bike purchases.

Andy Smallwood, Ribble’s chief executive, said: “Nottingham is the latest in the continued strategic roll out of our physical brand showrooms with their cutting edge visual and digital technology further enhancing this immersive experience and demonstrating the ambition and scale of our growth strategy.”

The new store will also hold events, seminars, screenings and product evenings as the retailer looks to connect with the wider cycling audience and interact with the local community.

In addition to Nottingham. Ribble now operates showrooms in Clitheroe, Birmingham and Bluewater and is planning to open more across the UK within the next 18 months.
