PUMA launches first North American flagship store

PUMA has opened its first flagship store in North America at 609 Fifth Avenue in New York.

The shop has 18,000 square feet of interactive retail space spanning two floors.

Using cutting-edge technology, the store aims to offer customers an immersive shopping experience through features such as innovative sports engagement zones, a customisation studio and digitally connected offerings.

Bob Philion, president of PUMA North America, said: “PUMA continues to see solid growth in North America and this new store reaffirms our commitment to this important market. From visitors that come to experience this iconic city to lifelong New Yorkers, we’re excited to open our doors in a vibrant and diverse community that aligns with our ‘Forever Faster’ mentality.”

Customers can view products in different colours and styles through iMirrors  placed throughout the store and can press a button to notify a store assistant that they need help at the mirror.

They can also  and  customise and personalise PUMA footwear, apparel and accessories using paints, dips, dyes, patchwork, embroidery, 3D-knitting, laser printing, pinning, material upcycling, and many other creative mediums.

Other features of the store include professional-grade F1 racing simulators which customers can use to virtually race down the streets of New York City. They can also  test the latest PUMA boots on an in-store simulator that mimics the pitch of San Siro Stadium.

Throughout the year, the  store will showcase exclusive collections designed by a range of brand ambassadors and athletes. It will also host a range of events and experiences authentic to New York City.
