JD Sports opens new flagship at Gateshead’s Metrocentre
JD Sports has opened its latest flagship store at Gateshead’s Metrocentre.
Spanning 18,000 square feet, the shop is home to over 50 brands, including Nike, Adidas and The North Face, and also features a customisation area where shoppers can personalise their new purchases.
Subscribe to TRBTo celebrate the opening, Geordie DJ and producer, Jerome Price, got the crowds dancing with an Ibiza-inspired soundtrack. In addition, local Newcastle TikTok power couple, Nathan and Grace, welcomed shoppers to the store.

The opening followed the recent launch of H Beauty by Harrods in Metrocentre’s lower Town Square earlier this month .

The store is set to be the largest in the region, providing an upgraded destination for streetwear and sports apparel from over 40 of the biggest and best brands around.”
