The Mall at Luton launches community podcast

Shopping centre The Mall Luton has launched a new podcast that focuses on life within the Luton community.

Called ‘Luton Life’, it will cover a range of topics about everyday life in Luton and provide a voice for the people living in the town through question-and-answer sessions with local journalist Sophie Sulehria. The first edition will highlight the work of The Mall’s Charity of the Year, Luton Foodbank.

Future sessions will feature independent retailers, local charities and projects such as Keech Hospice Care, the Big Trunk Trunk Trail and Level Trust.

All of the sessions will be available to access free of charge through Spotify and Apple.

Lavinia Douglass, marketing manager at The Mall Luton, said: “We’re thrilled to announce we’ve launched Luton Life, a podcast that will attempt to drill down into the Luton community and focus on the daily trials and tribulations for local people and organisations. During what has been an extremely difficult time for everyone, the podcast allows us to lift the lid on Luton, delving into stories and acknowledging individuals and organisations who really make Luton the fantastic community it is today.”
