Braehead signs up raft of new retailers

The Braehead shopping and leisure destination is to welcome Paperchase, Frasers Group and Pink Vanilla to its line-up.

Card and stationery retailer Paperchase has taken 1,500 square feet of space on a five-year lease while Frasers Group has signed for 15 year leases on units spanning 24,000 and 12,000 square feet respectively.

Meanwhile, fashion retailer Pink Vanilla has signed for a 2,400 square foot space for five years.

A spokesperson from Paperchase said: “We are delighted to be able to offer the shoppers of Braehead a new and joyful shopping experience with us. It’s not been an easy time for anyone but we are thankful for our loyal customers who have inspired us to step up our game with store design and just know this new store is going to pack a punch.”

The centre has also seen Claire’s and Yankee Candle extend their leases and American Candy upsize to a bigger store.

Steve Gray, head of European retail asset management at Global Mutual, said: “We are thrilled to welcome a host of new retailers, and to renew terms with some of our noteworthy existing tenants – reflecting a positive outlook for the year ahead and as restrictions ease.

“Despite the challenges of the past 17 months, Braehead continues to be a popular retail and leisure destination in the Glasgow area, and these deals will further enhance the diversity of our offer.”
