Primark chooses Manchester for opening of second standalone home store
Primark is to open a second standalone home store this summer at Trafford Palazzo in Manchester.
The announcement follows the launch of the retailer’s debut home location in Belfast earlier this year.
Spanning two floors, the new 11,900 square foot space will stock an expanded range of homeware and lifestyle items, including cotton bedding, towels, soft furnishings, small furniture and “quirky” ceramics.
The shop will also offer Primark’s recently launched Edit, an elevated collection of home products such as tableware, towels and luxury home fragrances.
Never Miss a Retail Update!Paul Baldwin, trading director for Home at Primark said: “Customer reaction to our first Primark Home store in Belfast has been really positive, and we can’t wait to bring this exciting new concept to Great Britain later this summer.
“Homes have become more than just places to live, they’re an extension of our personalities, so whether it’s soft furnishings, statement tableware, or smart storage solutions you’re after, our range has something for every style and budget.”
The store will complement existing Primark shops across Greater Manchester, including those in Trafford Palazzo, Manchester Market Street, Oldham, Bury and Wigan.
Mark Whittaker, managing sirector at Peel Retail and Leisure, said: “The opening of Primark Home at Trafford Palazzo, in the heart of Trafford City, is an incredibly exciting moment for us.
“Not only because we are the first destination in Great Britain to do so, but the opening is going to be adding a leading concept to our already unique mixture of immersive shopping and leisure experiences.”
