Portmeirion names interim CFO as Jonathan Hill steps back for health reasons
The Portmeirion group of homeware brands has appointed Adrian Wilding as interim chief financial officer.
He will succeed Jonathan Hill, who is stepping down on 25 September for health reasons.
Subscribe to TRBACA qualified, Wilding was previously chief financial officer at FireAngel Safety Technology. He has also previously held held chief financial officer positions at Universe and CR7 Services Group, and was director of finance at Just Retirement Group, where he played a leading role in the company’s IPO and debt financing. He will join Portmeirion on 28 September.
Portmeirion said Wilding’s experience is highly relevant to its next phase of development. The group said it is continuing to make good progress with its transformation plans and that trading has continued in line with the board’s expectations.
Hill is leaving after suffering a serious injury while on holiday in Asia, which required him to step back from the business. Portmeirion Group has now begun a process to appoint a permanent successor.

Hill said: “The decision to step back has been a very difficult one, but circumstances have dictated that I need to prioritise my health.The team have achieved a significant amount in the last year and I am confident that with Adrian onboard we can continue to build on this momentum following my departure.”
