JYSK unveils plans for Irish distribution centre

Danish furniture and homewares brand JYSK is seeking space for a 50,000 square metre distribution centre in Ireland.

The company is calling on commercial property owners with sufficient available space in and around the Dublin area to get in touch as it wants to have the space operational by the second half of 2024.

Country director for JYSK UK and Ireland Roni Tuominen, explained: “As our store footprint and customer base across Ireland and the UK continues to grow, now is the right time for us to develop a state-of-the-art logistics warehouse in Ireland to service this market and the UK.

“The new warehouse will enable us to better serve our customers in terms of delivery lead times and stock management, as well as being able to increase the online assortment of product, especially mattresses in the sleep category. Stock will be delivered directly to the new distribution centre in Ireland, rather than via Denmark, reducing our carbon footprint in the process.”

JYSK will make a significant investment in the facility which will serve its 21 Irish stores and 30 UK stores, as well as support its expansion plans for Ireland and the UK over the next five years.
