JYSK continues UK expansion with new store to open in Scunthorpe

Danish retailer, JYSK, is set to open its latest store at Lakeside Retail Park in Scunthorpe.

The new store boast 950sq mtrs of floor space and will create nine job opportunities with the Danish brand.

JYSK is an international chain of stores with Scandinavian roots that sells everything for the home.

To celebrate the new store, JYSK is thrilled to offer all Scunthorpe customers up to 70% off hundreds of products for the duration of the opening week as well as additional great offers online and in all stores nationwide in the UK.

“JYSK (pronounced YOOSK) Scunthorpe joins 29 stores in the UK and is our second store opening this year,” says Ciaron Hearns, JYSK Sales and Marketing Manager, UK & Ireland.

He continues; “the new store and brilliant team are ready to welcome old and new JYSK customers to explore our collection of Scandi homeware and garden furniture. They will be able to enjoy our brilliant same-day click and collect service, AnyVan local next day delivery service, and
exclusive in-store lines.”

According to the retailer, their next goal is 5000 stores worldwide. The Danes are planning to focus on bolstering their existing store portfolio to bring UK customers improved, refurbished stores. JYSK has plans to renovate 6 local UK stores to ensure they’re providing the very best shopping environment for their product and customer.

JYSK has seen record results in the UK & Ireland during the financial year 2021/2022, increasing its turnover 11% despite challenging trading conditions. JYSK’s steady growth is owed to its continued focus by customers on home and garden improvements coupled with store expansion over the last year.

Today JYSK has more than 3,000 stores and 26,500 employees in 51 countries.
