Mulberry to open new store at Liverpool ONE this November

Luxury handbag brand Mulberry is to open at Liverpool ONE this November.

Spanning 979 square feet, the new store will occupy a prominent position in Keys Court on Peter’s Lane as it looks to benefit from the shopping destination’s mix of local shoppers, domestic visitors and international tourists,.

Landsec said the signing reinforces Peter’s Lane’s growing appeal as a premium fashion and lifestyle destination, building on recent signings of brands such as Arne, Monica Vinader and Salomon’s first full-price UK store outside London.

Pablo Sueiras, head of retail and hospitality leasing at Landsec, said: “Mulberry’s decision to open in Liverpool ONE reflects the opportunity presented by Peter’s Lane as it continues to establish itself as a premium retail destination.

“As the brand sharpens its focus on its core UK market, Liverpool ONE offers the right combination of brand performance and spend potential to support its long-term ambitions.”

Last month, Mulberry announced that it had delivered a year of “meaningful progress” as it reported narrowed losses and increased revenue. The brand posted a 4% rise in group revenue to £125.5 million in the year to 28 March after its performance was boosted by strong cost control.
