Dreams CEO Mike Logue stands down

Dreams CEO Mike Logue, known for leading the turnaround of the specialist beds retailer, is to stand down.

When the former Mothercare, ASDA and M&S exec was appointed as CEO in 2013 the business had just been brought out of administration by Sun European Partners and profits were flat. Eight year’s later and Logue has led the retailer through to six consecutive year of sales and profit growth.

Dreams’ COO since 2014, Jonathan Hirst, will become CEO of the business from 1st January 2022. Mike will remain with the business until the end of December to facilitate a smooth transition.

Mike says: “I’m incredibly proud of what our 2000 colleagues have achieved together. I have no doubt under Jonathan’s leadership and Tempur Sealy’s ownership the business will continue to go from strength to strength. After eight years with Dreams working with the team to deliver a transformation of the business, I have decided it’s the right time for me to step aside and spend some quality time with my family.”

Jonathan comments: “Mike has played a crucial role in shaping Dreams into the business it is today. Now part of the Tempur Sealy family, the largest bedding business in the world, Dreams is in an exciting new phase. With this dedicated and talented team, footprint and infrastructure, we are well positioned for further growth and look to the future with confidence.”
