The Perfume Shop celebrates National Fragrance Week with a look back at iconic scents

In commemoration of National Fragrance Week, running from the 18th to the 24th of March, The Perfume Shop, is honouring its storied legacy by showcasing its all-time best-selling classic fragrances.

With a history that spans over three decades, The Perfume Shop has established itself as a fixture on the British high street, renowned for its extensive array of captivating scents. This National Fragrance Week, the retailer is set to take customers on an olfactory journey through time, highlighting the fragrances that have left an indelible mark on the industry and its clientele.

Since its inception, The Perfume Shop has sold an impressive total of more than 1.7 million bottles from its top ten historical launches between 2023 and 2024 alone. Notably, this includes over 134,770 bottles of the iconic Chanel No.5 Eau de Parfum, a scent that has epitomised elegance since its debut in 1921.

The celebration shines a spotlight on various fragrance milestones, featuring a curated selection that ranges from the seductive allure of oud perfumes to the invigorating zest of citrus notes. The Perfume Shop’s inventory boasts nearly 130 prestigious brands, offering everything from the latest celebrity-endorsed scents to revered designer classics.

Gill Smith, Managing Director of The Perfume Shop, expressed her enthusiasm for the event, stating, “For 32 years, we’ve had the privilege of guiding fragrance enthusiasts to their perfect scent, from groundbreaking new releases to beloved classics that continue to captivate our customers. We’re thrilled to celebrate this rich heritage during National Fragrance Week and invite everyone to explore the scents that have shaped our history.”

In addition to revisiting these timeless fragrances, The Perfume Shop is providing a valuable resource for customers seeking their ideal scent. The retailer’s innovative Fragrance Finder tool offers personalised recommendations, simplifying the journey to discovering a new signature fragrance.

Among the celebrated scents being highlighted are the sophisticated Chanel No 5 EDP, the romantic Miss Dior Parfum, the provocative Estée Lauder Youth Dew EDP, the exotic Yves Saint Laurent Opium EDT, and the refreshing Davidoff Cool Water Man EDT.
