Lidl teams up with Arnold Schwarzenegger for budget DIY range

Lidl has unveiled the face of its latest range of DIY tools – Hollywood actor Arnold Schwarzenegger.

The action star and former governor of California has been named the brand ambassador for the latest collection in the German grocer’s popular DIY and home improvement brand, Parkside.

Exclusive to Lidl supermarkets, the Parkside brand features a range of tools, gardening equipment and accessories that can be used by customers who like to repair, build and garden.

The range of Parkside products are set to return to the supermarket’s popular middle aisle from September 7 with everything from decorating tools to measuring tapes.

To promote the partnership, the legendary actor will star in a series of TV and social media adverts with the motto “you got this!”, in a bid to help encourage shoppers on their journey to DIY success.

Commenting on his new partnership with Lidl, the actor said: “‘You got this’ – that’s exactly my attitude. You have to believe in yourself, that’s why I’m a PARKSIDER.”

The latest range of Parkside products are set to drop in Lidl stores nationwide from September 7 while stocks last.
