The Entertainer launches first Spanish store
The Entertainer has opened its first The Entertainer branded store in Spain following a rebrand of its Poly shop in Valencia.
The high street toy retailer purchased the Poly chain in 2018 in a move which marked its first first full European acquisition.
With a grand opening event planned for 22 May, the new store will adopt many of the retailer’s UK practices such as demonstrations, character meet and greets, and “keeping fun at the heart of the customer journey”. The Entertainer said the store will also act as a showcase for its commitment to the Spanish market and its plans to open more stores across the country.
Gary Grant, founder and executive chairman of The Entertainer, said: “This is an extremely exciting moment for The Entertainer. We have been operating in Spain through our Poly stores since 2018 and heavily investing into the Spanish market but now is the perfect time for us to introduce The Entertainer to the people of Spain. The Entertainer Valencia is a significant landmark for our operations in Spain and we’re excited to develop and grow The Entertainer further across the region over the coming months and years.”
