Lululemon opens first Spanish stores

Lululemon has opened its first stores in Spain following a launch earlier this summer of a dedicated website in the country.

Situated in Barcelona’s Passeig de Gràcia and Madrid’s Calle Serrano, the stores offer Lululemon’s range of technical apparel and accessories for running, training and yoga.

André Maestrini, Lululemon’s executive vice president of international, said: “As a brand which supports wellbeing, Lululemon has a strong synergy with the active lifestyle enjoyed in Spain, and our openings in Madrid and Barcelona mark an exciting milestone.

“The strength of our model across product innovation, guest experience, community and culture provide a unique advantage as we introduce Lululemon to our newest market.”

To mark the openings, Lululemon released an exclusive advertising campaign for Spain called “Made to Feel” that features high profile Spanish yoga teachers, trainers and influencers. In addition, the brand hosted studio takeovers in Barcelona and Madrid and participated in the popular Vogue Fashion’s Night Out event in Madrid.

Lululemon now operates more than 40 stores and four local language sites in nine countries in Europe including France, Germany, Ireland, the Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the UK.
