Royal Mail brings singing Christmas postboxes to four UK cities

Royal Mail is spreading some Christmas cheer by installing singing postboxes in four iconic locations across the UK.

Festively decorated, the postboxes merrily respond with one of three festive tunes, including Jingle Bells, We Wish You A Merry Christmas and Deck The Halls, when members of the public post their cards and letters.

The postboxes are located in all four nations of the UK on sites in London’s Oxford Street, Glasgow’s George Square, Belfast’s Donegall Square West, and Swansea’s Union Street.

Nick Landon, chief commercial officer at Royal Mail, said: “At Royal Mail, we’re geared up to help with all your festive preparations, whether that’s delivering the nation’s love and best wishes through Christmas cards, or the presents that tens of millions of people will be shopping online for right now.

“This year we’re adding some extra festive joy and cheer for people sending their letters and Christmas cards to loved ones through our amazing singing postboxes. Have a very Merry Christmas!”
