One Animation partners with Argos on Oddbods Halloween themed episode release

One Animation is bringing Halloween themed entertainment to its partnership with Argos with the launch of a new Oddbods seasonal episode called Halloween Heroes.

In a statement, One Animation said the move marks the first time that a first episode of a major animated series has debuted with a retail partner,

Launching on 1 October, the full-length episode sees the Oddbods attend a Halloween party at the local museum, but when Newt accidentally breaks part of an exhibit, a curse is unleashed that brings many of the artefacts to life.

The release coincides with the previously announced launch of exclusive Oddbods merchandise spanning dress-up costumes, plush and kid’s pyjamas at Argos and Sainsbury’s this autumn.

Sainsbury’s Argos buyer Daniella Parr said: “We are really excited to have the retail exclusive on Oddbods dress up product launching for Halloween!”

Prior to the debut of ‘Halloween Heroes’, Argos is sharing a brand-new Oddbods music video called Mahna Mahna on its website. The song launched on the Oddbods’ YouTube channel earlier this month and attracted around 2,000,000 views in its first week.
