Hornby names new non-executive director

The Hornby models and collectibles group has appointed Henry de Zoete as a non-executive director.

An alumnus of Silicon Valley start-up accelerator Y Combinator, in 2014 de Zoete co-founded The Big Deal which uses technology to facilitate collective bargaining for consumers. Four years later, he established energy auto-switching service Look After My Bills which was acquired by GoCo Group in 2019.

Currently an angel investor in technolgy start-ups and a non-executive board member of the Cabinet Office, he has previously served on the board of grassroots campaigning organisation 38 Degrees  and was a special adviser in the Department of Education.
