Bloom & Wild raises £75 million to fund European expansion

Online florist Bloom & Wild has secured £75 million Series D funding in a round led by US investor General Catalyst with participation from Index Ventures, Novatar, Latitude Ventures, D4 Ventures and existing investors Burda Principal Investments.

The funding will be used to help Bloom & Wild expand in Europe.

Aron Gelbard, co-founder and chief executive of Bloom & Wild, said: “With this new backing from General Catylyst and Index, we start 2021 with renewed energy to pursue our vision of becoming the world’s leading and most loved flower company.”

The company also received £11 million worth of funding two years ago which it used to invest in technology to transform both its customer experience and supply chain.
