Waitrose reopens Haslemere store after multi-million pound transformation

Waitrose has reopened its Haslemere store following a multi-million pound refurbishment.

The seven week transformation of the West Street site has brought a range of new concepts and improvements to the 10,000 square foot shop, which will celebrate its 17th anniversary in May.

Upgraded service counters include a new dry-aged beef counter, a continental meat stand, and new sushi counter. There is also a redesigned bakery offering everyday items as well as products from exclusive partnerships with Ole & Steen and Gail’s.

Katherine Batey, Waitrose Haslemere branch manager, said: “We have been part of the community in Haslemere for almost 17 years and on behalf of the entire team, I would like to thank our customers for their patience and understanding while the store has been closed.

“We are delighted to welcome everyone back, and can’t wait to introduce them to the new features with even more great food to enjoy.”

In 2025, Waitrose transformed 23 existing shops, including Weybridge and Oxted in Surrey, and opened its first ever ‘Home of Food Lovers’ concept store in Newbury.
