Waitrose unveils refurbished St Neots store after multi-million pound investment
Waitrose has unveiled the new look of its St Neots store following a multi-million pound refurbishment.
The store now features a modernised look and feel, along with an improved product selection and new technology.
Subscribe to TRBImprovements include upgraded meat and fish counters, a redesigned bakery with an expanded offering, new energy-efficient fridges and electronic shelf labels.
Branch manager Tim Stanton, who leads a team of 140 partners, said: “This is a milestone moment for our store. We are approaching 40 years since we first opened our doors and we’re thrilled to now share a refreshed and improved store with the wonderful St Neots community.
“Every detail of the refurbishment, from the new bakery to modernised counters, was created with food lovers in mind, and to meet the high standards you expect from Waitrose.”
The move forms part of Waitrose’s £1 billion, multi-year investment programme in its store estate, which also includes new openings. The retailer said the programme is designed to offer the very best products, service and shops for customers.
The past month has also seen refurbishments of stores in Finchley, Balham and Clapham Junction. Waitrose will open two new supermarkets this year in Hale Barns (Greater Manchester) and Cricklewood (North West London).
The retailer is also refurbishing 28 shops this year and launching into airport travel retail for the first time, with four new Relay stores in Heathrow Terminal 2.
