Waitrose permanently extends quick-commerce delivery hours at 35 stores

Waitrose is permanently extending its quick-commerce delivery hours at 35 UK stores, following an initial expansion during the World Cup.

The supermarket extended its delivery window at more than 50 shops last month to meet customer demand amid late-night and early-morning matches.

Waitrose said most participating shops will now fulfil orders until midnight, with selected high-demand locations delivering around the clock, 24/7. Groceries can be delivered in as little as 20 minutes via Deliveroo, Uber Eats and Just Eat.

Laura Burbedge, director of online at Waitrose, said: “The World Cup proved that our food-loving customers value the flexibility of shopping at Waitrose whenever they need us.

“By extending our delivery windows, we’re making it even more convenient to access the delicious, high-quality food our customers love.”
