Poundland rolls out new £3 meal deal offering

Poundland is rolling out new sandwiches, salads and snacks as part of a £3 meal deal offering.

The discount retailer said the products raise the bar as they come from “high-quality” companies that already supply other multiple retailers such as M&S.

The meal deal is launching under the new brand name of “Grab A Bite and includes items such as a chicken tikka wrap, a cheese and pickle sandwich, sushi, and a prawn pasta salad.

The new offerings have been developed in partnership with Greencore and On A Roll, a new fresh sandwich supplier from the North East of England.

Poundland’s head of chilled and frozen Kyle Storey said: “Our mission here at Poundland has always been to provide our customers with the best possible value, without compromising on taste or quality.”

“With our new meal deal, we’re not only offering an unbeatable price, but also ensuring that everyone can access a delicious and satisfying meal without the need for a plastic loyalty card.”

To celebrate the launch, Poundland will be putting up blue plaques outside 20 of its best-performing lunchtime stores to promote the fact that it offers the UK’s cheapest meal deal.

The first of the plaques will be placed at stores in Deal, Kent, Glasgow (Sauciehall Street), Edinburgh (Princes Street), Cardiff (Queen Street), Birmingham (Fort), Birmingham (Corporation Street), Leeds (Lands Lane), Liverpool (Lord Street), Walsall (Park Street), and Wembley (High Road).
