Ocado completes partnership with Groupe Casino

Ocado Group has completed agreements to extend its partnership with French retailer Groupe Casino.

The extension follows a Memorandum of Understanding announced in February.

Established almost 125 years ago, Group Casino has more than 11,500 stores worldwide across France and Latin America.

The extension includes the creation of a joint venture to provide logistics services to Ocado Smart Platform powered customer fulfilment centres in France, which will be available to all grocery retailers.

It also includes a partnership for Ocado Group to integrate Octopia’s marketplace platform into the Ocado Smart Platform, and will allow Ocado Smart Platform partners around the world to launch their own marketplace offering.

In addition, Groupe Casino will be deploying the Ocado Smart Platform in-store fulfilment solution across its Monoprix stores.

Luke Jensen,chief executive of Ocado Solutions, said: “This is a great milestone for our relationship with Groupe Casino as we extend the partnership in a number of exciting directions.”
