Ocado confirms that mutual exclusivity with partners has now ended in most markets
Ocado has announced that mutual exclusivity has now ended with retailers in most markets where its technology is currently live.
This includes in the US where it works with the Kroger grocery retailer.
In its interim results published in July, the group confirmed that it expected most exclusivity arrangements to roll off by the end of the year, as it prepares to reintroduce its technology offering in many of the world’s largest grocery markets.
In a statement today, Tim Steiner, chief executive of Ocado Group, said: “As we continue to support all of our partners to improve and grow their online businesses, we will also now bring the full range of Ocado’s AI-powered and robotic solutions back to multiple markets.
“In the five years since our first international CFCs went live we have substantially evolved our market-leading solutions and broadened our offering to meet retailers wherever they are on their online journey.”
In addition to Kroger, Ocado’s partners include the likes of Coles in Australia, Auchan in Poland and Bon Preu in Spain.
Steiner added: “As we enter 2026, Ocado is well positioned to help more retailers capture market share in the world’s fastest-growing grocery channel.”
