Morrisons cuts cost of hundreds of everyday essentials

Morrisons is cutting the price of around 650 everyday essentials as it looks to help make customers’ money go further.

Items include volume lines like chicken breast fillets, rice, vegetables, rice and enchilada kits, as well as household products such as kitchen and toilet rolls, laundry pods and cold and flu tablets.

With prices reduced by an average of 18%, the products will remain on promotion in stores and online for at least four to eight weeks.

Alex Paver, pricing and customer director at Morrisons, said: “At Morrisons we believe great quality should be affordable for everyone, and we know that the cost of everyday products really matter to our customers right now.

“That’s why we’re cutting the prices of over 650 items, from fresh favourites to cupboard staples, so our customers can trust they’re getting real value every time they shop with us.  These price cuts mean customers can spend less on the essentials and still enjoy the great quality Morrisons is known for.”

The supermarket will also be introducing a range of offers with key deals for this week including Kenco Coffee 200g and Tetley Original Teabags 400s, both priced at £6.50.

The price cuts will be supported by a national campaign across TV, print, digital and in-store signage.
