Morrisons appoints new trading director for general merchandise

Morrisons has appointed Emma Pacey as its new trading director for general merchandise.

Having started her retail career at The Original Factory Shop, Pacey has worked for the last 18 years with Asda where she has held a variety of senior roles across commercial, ecommerce, retail operations and customer proposition. Her most recent position with the supermarket has been online trading director for Asda.com.

In a statement on LinkedIn, Morrisons said: “With a strong background in buying, category strategy and leading high-performing teams, Emma is known for delivering market share gains, supplier-led innovation and customer-focused offers, particularly across general merchandise.

“She combines deep commercial know-how with a real passion for delivering for customers, and we’re excited to have her on board as we continue to build momentum across the business.”

Morrisons has also recently appointed former BP executive Claire Farrant as group marketing director.
