Morrisons appoints new logistics director

Morrisons has appointed Andy Gillies as its new logistics director.
Gillies has joined the supermarket from Greencore where he was group logistics director. Prior to that, he worked with Aldi for over 20 years most recently as regional logistics director.
In a post on LinkedIn, Morrisons said he had brought a wealth of experience to the business from over 30 years working in retail.
Gillies said: “I’m really pleased to join such an iconic British retailer. Grocery is a tough and competitive sector, and with my team, my responsibility will be to deliver great service and availability to our stores, while finding operational efficiencies to reduce cost.”
