Holland & Barrett partners with Next on in-store concessions

Holland & Barrett has embarked on a new partnership with Next in which it will launch three new “store within a store” concessions in Next shops this summer.

The retailer will offer Next customers a range of its top 1,000 health and wellness products spanning health, nutrition, sports and beauty, and will also give them access to personalised advice from Holland & Barrett colleagues.

The first concession will open in Next’s Martlesham Heath store in Ipswich on 10 July. This will be followed by an  opening in North Shields and a third site later this year.

£70 million investment in physical retail

The move forms part of Holland & Barrett’s £70 million investment in physical retail, which has included the opening of new stores, refits and relocations. In 2024 and 2025, the retailer is  investing in at least one store a day through a store refresh and refurbishment programme in the UK and Ireland.

Nick Gerrard, property and format director at Holland & Barrett, said: “Holland & Barrett has an ambitious three-year transformation strategy to become our customer’s first choice for wellness products, advice services and solutions.

“To help achieve this we’re investing in revitalising our store experience, taking a flexible approach to space planning and piloting new locations and store footprints.

“We’re very excited to partner with Next with our brand-new concession formats which will compliment Next’s retail offering, giving its customers easy and convenient access to the latest and trending health and wellness essentials.”

Founded in 1870, Holland & Barrett now has 1,600 stores globally through directly owned shops, franchise and partnerships.
