Hamleys announces new dessert concession offering at Regent Street store

Toy retailer Hamleys has seen Hans & Gretel open a dessert emporium at its iconic Regent Street store.

The news follows the recent opening of a Dibs DIY treats concession at the store as part of Hamleys’ plans to expand its revamped food and beverage offering.

Launched in 2019, Hans & Gretel offers a ranges of creative desserts that have been inspired by the folktale Hans & Gretel. Spanning sweet treats and snacks, the Hamleys offering will include homemade gelato in a range of flavours, cinnamon dusted Chimney Cakes, candy-floss encased gelato cones, lollipops and doughnuts, as well as the brand’s Bubble Waffle.

The Hamleys concession is Hans & Gretel’s second London location.

Linda Lee, co-owner of Hans & Gretel UK, said: “The setting of the world’s oldest and finest toy shop, Hamleys, provides the perfect backdrop for Hans & Gretel’s second London location. We look forward to collaborating with the iconic brand to create exclusive desserts and a showstopping concession that will add further magic to what is already a landmark destination in London.”

Adorned with magical trees and fairy doors, the site on Hamleys ground floor will aim to bring “fun, magic and theatre” to fit with the store’s experience led look and feel.

Hamleys chief executive Sumeet Yadav said: “We are so pleased to welcome Hans & Gretel in-store at Regent Street. Known for their fairy-tale dessert offerings, we know this will really appeal to our visitors, and the experience side of the concession aligns with the fun, magic and theatre of Hamleys.”
