Clintons to sell alcoholic drinks as part of plans to improve online offering

Clintons is to sell a selection of alcoholic drinks for the first time as part of plans to improve its online offering.

The card and gift retailer is partnering with independent Shropshire distillery Henstone to offer the range on its online store clintonsretail.com.

Clintons said the partnership will be the first of many with smaller companies as it looks to meet customer demand and its team’s desire to support more independent businesses.

Founded in 2017, Henstone Distillery now produces seven alcohol products, including its London Dry Gin which won a double ‘Best in Class’ at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition earlier this year.

Eddie Shepherd, chief executive of Clintons, said: “We are proud that we have remained one of the nation’s favourite card and gift retailers for more than 50 years, offering our customers a fantastic selection of products for every occasion, and for some time we have been looking to add quality alcohol products from an independent maker to this selection. We are delighted to be able to launch this partnership with such a prestigious distillery and believe their drinks will be a popular choice with our customers online.”

The retailer will offer all seven of Henstone’s products which include gin, vodka, whisky and liquor products.
