Amazon Fresh launches Tesco price match promise

Amazon’s grocery delivery service has launched a Tesco Clubcard Price Match scheme on hundreds of everyday grocery items.

Amazon Fresh is kicking off the initiative by matching and locking prices on items such as fruit. vegetables, meat and fish to Tesco Clubcard deals every week.

Russell Jones, Amazon Fresh director, said: “We know that our customers are looking for ways to save on their weekly grocery shopping. This is one way that we’re helping customers get great value and convenience with groceries delivered at home with Amazon Fresh. Improving our shopping experience and giving Amazon Fresh customers even more for their money are key priorities for us.”

Deals currently in the promotion include 32% off Tropicana Orange Juice Original with Bits, 46% off by Amazon Stone-baked Margherita and 19% off Cathedral City Extra Mature Cheddar.

The scheme is just one of several price-led initiatives on the Amazon storefront, including multi-buy promotions, offers on premium brands such as Booths and Charlie Bigham’s, and ongoing deals on the ‘by Amazon’ private label range.

Amazon Fresh is currently available in London and parts of the Southeast, Leeds, Sheffield, Portsmouth, Liverpool, Glasgow, Birmingham, Manchester and Newcastle.
