Tapestry appoints Pinterest CTO to board

Tapestry, the parent company of Coach and Kate Spade,  has appointed Pinterest’s chief technology officer Matt Madrigal to its board.

Having held his current role at Pinterest since July 2024, Madrigal was previously vice president and general manager of merchant shopping at Google, where he led the product and engineering teams that power Google Shopping. Prior to that, he was served as chief technology and product officer at Fanatics and has also previously worked with Williams-Sonoma and eBay.

Joanne Crevoiserat, chief executive of Tapestry, said: “We are pleased to welcome Matt to Tapestry’s board.

“His expertise across technology and customer experience at scale will be instrumental in driving our Amplify growth agenda.

“I look forward to partnering with him as we continue to build emotional connections with the next generation of consumers around the world and deliver durable, compounding growth.”

The appointment means that Tapestry’s board now has eleven members, including ten independent directors.
