Suit Direct owner Baird Group promotes Tim Murphy to chief executive
Baird Group, the owner of Suit Direct, has promoted Tim Murphy to the position of chief executive.
Previously chief financial officer, Murphy joined the group in July 2025 after a career spanning senior finance roles at companies such as Hallett Retail, Sonik Sports and the Jacques Vert women’s fashion brand.
Subscribe to TRBHe has succeeded Koray Gül who has stepped down after two and a half years with the business.
In a company announcement, Baird Group said: “Suit Direct (the trading entity of BMB Clothing Limited) today announced a key leadership transition as it continues to grow, following the decision by chief executive officer Koray Gül to step down after two and a half highly successful years at the helm.
“Koray is succeeded by the company’s current chief financial officer, Tim Murphy, to ensure continuity and consistency in vision, as the business enters it’s next phase of growth.”
Suit Direct has recently opened its fifth new store of the year at The Liberty Shopping Centre in Romford. The new shop forms part of a series of openings planned for 2026, following recent launches in Liverpool, Watford, Chelmsford and London’s O2 Outlet Centre.
