Pandora appoints new general manager for the British Isles

Pandora has appointed Sonia Lopez Delgado as its new general manager of the British Isles, its second large cluster.

Prior to joining the business in 2018, she held senior roles at The Body Shop, LVMH Fragrances Brands and El Corte Inglés.

Lopez Delgado currently holds the position of general manager of the Northern Europe at Pandora,

Pandora chief executive Alexander Lacik said: “Having built a very strong team in our NOEU cluster and driving impressive brand momentum in Germany, I’m certain that with Sonia to spearhead our efforts in BRIS, we’ll continue to drive strong brand momentum, give many more customers a world-class experience, and build our reputation as a full jewellery brand,”

Lopez Delgado will succeed Rasmus Brix who has been appointed as  SVP, global commercial operations, which means he will move to Copenhagen to work at the company’s headquarters. He will report to Massimo Basei who is being promoted to the role of chief commercial officer.

As Pandora’s second largest cluster, the British Isles is a driver for innovation. In 2021, the UK was the pilot market for Pandora’s lab-grown diamonds as the company looked to build its reputation as a full jewellery house.

Pandora is continuing to invest in expanding its retail stores in the UK and this year will roll-out of its Evoke store concept to more locations.

The company said the internal appointments support its Phoenix growth strategy.

Lacik added: “In recent years, we have focused heavily on building a strong talent pipeline internally. I’m pleased to see that our strategic talent development is paying off, and I hope you’ll join me in congratulating and welcoming Rasmus and Sonia into their new roles.”
