Moss Bros announces opening of four stores

Moss Bros. today (27 July 2022) announced the opening of four stores over the next three months, two in London, one in Eastbourne and a further store in Brighton.

The openings will create nearly 9000 sq ft of retail space and 23 new jobs. It brings its total store portfolio to 106.

The menswear brand says it is investing in ‘a heightened customer experience’ that post-pandemic consumers are looking for. This includes, amongst other things, ‘dedicated style suites’ and fitting room appointments designed to deliver a true VIP experience.

Shop fits have been pared back and refined, creating spaces that are flexible and can change with seasons and events.

Face-to-face interaction has become a cornerstone for the brand, alongside its ecommerce offer at Moss.co.uk, and these reimagined spaces will help its customer to look and feel their very best.

Each store will showcase the best of Moss Bros.’ ready-to-wear offering, it’s hire selection as well as custom-made options and its hugely successful casualwear offer that was launched AW21 and famously fronted by Fred Sirieix.

“We are delighted to be opening new stores and creating jobs. For us and our customer the route to market must be a combination of stores and online that reflect the ways that people want to shop with us today,” said Brian Brick, CEO, Moss Bros.

“This extends to our offer and how we showcase it. As you would expect, these stores will carry our complete tailoring offer, from formalwear hire to off-the-peg, ready-to-wear through to one-of-a-kind custom-made bespoke suiting that is complimented by our own range of casualwear.”

Our commitment to bricks and mortar, as well as online, continues and we are making good progress finding sites for the additional ten stores we announced earlier this year.”

The new stores include:

Canary Wharf: A 1,390 sq ft re-site in Canary Wharf opened in a new location in Canada Place with a new shop fit on 18 July 2022. The opening is supported by 360 takeovers of digital posters, large internal poster sites, and a social media campaign targeting local residents and businesses. The store will create five new jobs.

Jermyn Street, Flagship store: The new 2,059 sq ft flagship store on Jermyn Street is in the heart of one of London’s most historic fashion districts with a worldwide reputation for high-quality British craftsmanship and is home to London’s best men’s tailors and shirt makers. The store opens on 28 July 2022. The store will create eight new jobs.

Eastbourne: A 2,593 sq ft Eastbourne store opened on 23 July 2022 in the town’s Beacon Centre with a live DJ during opening weekend, seaside-themed hospitality served instore, and a promotional seafront marquee. The move creates five new jobs.

Brighton: Another store will open on North Street, Brighton on 22 September 2022, creating five new jobs and spanning 2,787 sq ft, across two trading floors.
