Monsoon and Acccesorize appoint property specialist to help reopen 100 stores

Monsoon and Acccesorize have appointed a property specialist to help them reopen over 100 stores across the UK.

The move follows the retailers’ purchase out of administration by their founder, Peter Simon.

They are now working with Harper Dennis Hobbs to secure new leases with landlords to enable them to reopen stores as soon as possible.

Nick Stowe, chief operating officer at Monsoon and Accessorize, said: “We are passionate about Monsoon and Accessorize’s presence on the high street. Our landlords have been hugely supportive. Engaging with Harper Dennis Hobbs, and the experience their team bring, will help us accelerate our conversations. Our goal is to secure leases as quickly as possible, get our retail business working again and save thousands of jobs.”

Harper Dennis Hobbs is negotiating with multiple landlords to get leases secured and stores up and running again.

David Harper, chairman of Harper Dennis Hobbs, added: “Monsoon and Accessorize are both staples of the British high street, and we are delighted to be advising Peter and his team to ensure stores can re-open in the coming weeks.”
