Mango unveils new store at Angel Central

Fashion retailer Mango has opened a new store at Angel Central in London’s Islington as part of its UK expansion plans.

The retailer has taken a  3,200 square foot unit on the scheme’s ground floor from where it will sell its womenswear lines.

The store has been designed in line with Mango’s New Med concept which has been inspired by Mediterranean culture and lifestyle. In addition to featuring elements such as eco-efficient lighting, heating and ventilation, the store also makes use of sustainable materials such as natural paint.

Ciara Daffy, asset manager at CBRE Investment Management, said: “Mango brings a seamless omnichannel experience to the community of Islington and delivers a quality offer, enhancing the retail mix alongside an array of complementary brands.

“As we continue to witness strong performance at the centre, Mango will only add to this momentum and we are delighted to add yet another firm favourite to our tenant portfolio.”

The Spanish retailer has recently announced that it will be opening more than 20 new stores in the UK this year with growth mainly focused on London and Scotland.
