Genesco announces strategic transformation of IT operations
Schuh owner Genesco has announced a strategic transformation of its IT operations to support long-term growth and improve operational efficiency.
The US company said the initiative will support its transition to a new business model aimed at improving speed and scalability, accelerating AI-enabled innovation and automation, and more closely aligning technology capabilities with its core business priorities.

“This transformation builds on the meaningful investments and progress we have made in digital and omnichannel and enables us to more effectively leverage advanced technologies.
“By aligning our resources to a next-generation model, we are enhancing our ability to serve customers, increasing speed and flexibility across the organisation, and supporting the company’s continued growth.”
Genesco said that it is partnering with a leading global technology provider and implementing new tools and ways of working as part of the project. The company added that some IT roles are expected to be affected, and emphasised its commitment to supporting impacted team members throughout the transition.
