Schuh signs for flagship store in Edinburgh

Schuh is to open a Scottish flagship store at St James Quarter in Edinburgh on 1 May.

Situated adjacent to high street brands Superdrug, Boots and Moss, the 5,500 square foot shop will feature the Edinburgh founded footwear retailer’s revamped store concept

Dedicated to enhancing the in-store experience, the store’s layout will include improved navigation and updated product displays as the retailer looks to offer a seamless shopping journey tailored to customers’ needs.

Neil Partington, chief retail officer at Schuh, said: “Scotland is at the heart of Schuh – the birthplace of the business. Edinburgh, in particular, has always been a pivotal location for us, as the city where it all began.

Never Miss a Retail Update!

“St James Quarter offers a prime opportunity to showcase our bold retail approach. With a curated selection of must-have brands and a commitment to exceptional customer service, schuh remains the go-to destination for footwear shopping in the capital.”

The new signing follows the recent opening of POLO Ralph Lauren on St James Quarter’s level three, with the international brand adding to the scheme’s range of premium retailers.

Chris Pyne, leasing director for St James Quarter, commented: “Schuh is a great addition to St James Quarter, adding even more choice to our comprehensive retail offer that is now Scotland’s go-to location for leading UK and international brands.

“For a brand with depth in Scotland to choose the Quarter for its launch of a brand-new concept store underlines the confidence retailers have in St James Quarter as the number one retail destination in Scotland.”
