Frugi to unveil first TV advert

Frugi, the sustainable children’s clothing company, is unveiling its first TV advertising campaign today.

Developed in partnership with creative agency Friendly Giants, the commercial is centred on the concept ‘Love the Planet You Play on’ as the brand looks to draw a new audience.

The ad introduces viewers to a range of Frugi products, including its best selling Skater Dress, Puddle Buster Coat and Parsnip Dungarees, and shows the items coming to life alone in a child’s bedroom with their chatter highlighting product features. Frugi said the commercial marks a communication step change for the business as it takes the viewer on a considered brand journey and highlights its sustainable credentials in a more creative way.

Broadcast on All 4 on Demand TV and on Frugi’s owned media channels, the ad will run until 14 November.

Lara Smrtnik, head of marketing at Frugi, said: “Our first TV ad marks a very exciting milestone for us as it is testament to Frugi’s fast-expanding brand presence. Being able to work with Friendly Giants to help bring our vision to life and reach a new audience has been wonderful. Through our ad, viewers will be able to see our iconic products in a fun and memorable way. We hope that this ad inspires All 4 viewers and their families to love the planet they play on.”
